Ejendom is a Danish property management platform that acts as a digital service book for buildings. It helps property managers, housing cooperatives, engineers, and real estate professionals manage inspections, track building conditions, plan maintenance, monitor energy consumption, and calculate CO₂ emissions from one central system. By automating data collection from public databases and using AI-assisted recommendations, Ejendom replaces manual paperwork and spreadsheets, making property management more efficient, accurate, and future-ready.

Challenge
The client needed to significantly expand their property management platform to support sustainability initiatives while improving usability for everyday users. The main challenges included introducing accurate CO₂ calculations for life cycle assessments, integrating aerial photography and public data from Danish government APIs, and modernising the interface to improve navigation and filtering. Additionally, the platform required a more robust image management system for property inspections, improved notifications and announcements, better company and organisation management, integration with GI for maintenance accounts, and AI-powered speech-to-text functionality to simplify on-site inspections.

Solution
To meet the client’s goals, Go Wombat delivered a series of platform-wide enhancements designed to improve sustainability tracking, usability, and operational efficiency. We introduced an aerial photo viewer integrated with Denmark’s public data services, allowing inspectors to view historical and current building imagery directly on interactive maps. A dedicated CO₂ calculator and Life Cycle Assessment module was developed to help property managers measure environmental impact and make informed sustainability decisions, alongside energy consumption tracking for ongoing monitoring.
We also integrated GI maintenance account management, enabling users to track balances and calculations within the platform. To support inspections, we built a robust image management system with editing and annotation tools and added speech-to-text functionality so inspectors could dictate notes on site. Finally, we strengthened communication and administration through improved organisation management, in-app notifications, announcements, and email integration.

Result
The delivered solution enabled the client to successfully expand their platform with sustainability-focused features while significantly improving the overall user experience. New tools such as the aerial photo viewer, CO₂ calculator, and energy consumption tracking gave property managers better visibility into building conditions and environmental impact, supporting smarter long-term planning.
