Viggo's smart hotel solution for AndroidTV devices revolutionises guest interaction by enabling direct communication with hotel staff, ordering room service, exploring hotel amenities, making reservations, and accessing their favourite content. This innovative Smart Hotel TV system provides hotels worldwide with a dynamic method to enhance guest experiences. Additionally, hotel administrators can customise the information displayed on TVs in specific rooms, ensuring tailored content for each guest.

Challenge
The client faced a significant challenge in developing a comprehensive system to manage all hotel processes, from check-in and food orders to movie rentals and check-out. The existing system was built on Python 2.7, an outdated version that required support and a transition to the latest version of Python for improved performance and maintainability.

Solution
We maintained the existing project code to ensure uninterrupted service for the numerous hotels already using the system. To upgrade to a new version of Python, we decided on a phased approach: rewriting the project in segments and thoroughly testing each part. For the content, room, and staff management interface, we leveraged Samsung's new Tizen OS, providing a modern and efficient solution. We also added several new features to enhance the experience of guests.

Result
Over the course of our collaboration, we successfully transitioned the old project code to a new version. This upgrade enables hotels and hotel chains using the Viggo CMS platform to elevate their guest services. We developed applications integrated with TizenOS, allowing guests to access and manage information seamlessly on Samsung TVs. Additionally, we enhanced the administrator interface, empowering hotel staff to manage content and interact with guests more efficiently.
Numerous features were added to the Viggo CMS, including online chat, personal flight information, guest statistics, reports, and automated billing. These enhancements help hotel owners boost revenue while delivering a personalised experience for their guests.
