The Desty Travel service, which is the project for the Shopping Minds company, makes it possible for travellers to book a city trip together with accommodation, local transport and unique activities. In addition, travel websites can use the service to offer different travel options by merging different suppliers. In this way, travel websites can put together a complete package holiday, which can then be marketed smartly via data with the Shopping Minds Cloud Data Platform.

Challenge
The real challenge for developers was to connect all services and ensure that they all worked properly. The problem was in the incompatibility of these services, and not all services provided an appropriate reliability level. However, the development team managed to build business logic for each service and connect them. Also, developers had contacted service providers directly when they needed to integrate any service.
Solution

The platform works efficiently, and it provides custom-made tours for each customer. Also, our client can adapt this system specifically for each new customer. The product hit the market during the COVID-19 pandemic, while many competitors experienced difficulties. The company has made substantial investments in an innovative product with competitive advantages over existing solutions due to the outdated hospitality industry with a low automation level.
Previously, only the larger companies had such platforms as Desty's new product, but they weren’t affordable for most travel agencies. Desty has changed that, and now any travel agency can purchase and use it — it is a ready-made service for small and mid-sized businesses. The project has a closed cycle of end-to-end sales of travel services
