The client needed a solution to track packages in real time, providing precise data on their condition and location throughout the logistics chain. The challenge was to develop a platform capable of seamlessly integrating with sensors inside each package to ensure accurate, up-to-date information for both tracking and condition monitoring. The solution had to be scalable and reliable, allowing users to monitor large volumes of packages while maintaining data accuracy and transparency.
Solution
Our solution leveraged Django and Django REST Framework (DRF) to build the core logistics platform, hosted on AWS for scalability and reliability. The platform features a user-friendly dashboard displaying package details and a real-time map showing package locations and movements. Users can easily add and integrate sensors with specific packages, ensuring accurate tracking. To process the real-time data from these sensors, we implemented multiple AWS Lambda functions, enabling seamless data updates and analysis.
